Graduate Research Students (International Students)
Ehime University’s graduate schools (excluding the Graduate School of Teaching) accept students who wish to conduct research on specific specialized matters under the supervision of a faculty advisor.

Application Guidelines
qualifications of candidacy
- Master’s and Master’s Degree Programs
Those who have a master’s degree, those who are expected to have a master’s degree by the time of admission, or those who are recognized as having academic ability equivalent or superior to such a degree. - Doctoral and Doctoral Programs
Those who hold a doctoral degree, those who are expected to obtain a doctoral degree by the time of admission, or those who are recognized as having equivalent or superior academic ability.

- Those who are eligible to apply under the qualification of “those who are recognized as having equivalent or higher academic ability” are those who have applied for and been approved for the qualification in advance.
- Applicants who wish to apply for eligibility should notify the team in charge of the respective faculty.
Application Documents Acceptance Period
- For April enrollment: [First semester] Mid-February each year (early February for Graduate School of Medicine)
- For October enrollment: [Later semester] Early August each year (late July for Graduate School of Medicine)
However, if the application is submitted from abroad or through a proxy, the deadline is mid-December for the first semester (early December for the Graduate School of Medicine) and early June for the second semester (early June for the Graduate School of Medicine).
In principle, applications must be received in person or by proxy. If you wish to send the application by mail, please contact the team in charge.

matriculation fee
84,600 yen (free of charge for those who have graduated or completed their studies at the University)
tuition fee
28,900 yen per month (173,400 yen per semester) (14,400 yen per month for those who have graduated or completed their studies at the University)
selection process
Selection will be made by the faculty committee of the graduate school to which the applicant has applied, based on the documents submitted at the time of application.
