Ehime University Research Facilities Sharing Policy
Ehime University has established the following guidelines for the sharing of Ehime University’s research facilities and equipment in accordance with the “Guidelines for the Promotion of Shared Use of Research Facilities and Equipment” (established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in March 2022).
Ehime University Research Facilities Sharing Policy
Enacted on March 15, 2023
Ehime University has established the following “Research Facilities Sharing Policy” in order to improve its comprehensive research capabilities by establishing a system for sharing research facilities and improving the research environment.
1. Establish a mid- to long-term “Strategic Facilities Development and Operation Plan” to ensure effective use of research resources.
In principle, research facilities maintained with university-wide funds will be shared use facilities. In addition, the University will also consider sharing research facilities that are general-purpose and above a certain size, which are maintained with competitive research funds.
3. The operation of the shared facilities will be managed by the Strategic Headquarters for Research Environment Management in coordination with the relevant departments.
4. Maintenance and management of shared facilities will be carried out by utilizing various financial resources, mainly fees for the use of shared facilities.
5. Actively promote the use of shared facilities by extramural users and strengthen ties with the local community.
6. In addition to the provisions of this policy, matters necessary for the sharing of research facilities shall be determined separately.
Supplementary Provisions
This policy shall come into effect on March 15, 2023.
